a new way of advertise ...

Since few days ago, the people who walks in Prince Street, Sojo, NY, can hear clearly a voice whispering : "Who's there? Who's There? It's not your imagination" ... If after the fright they still have some energy to look up, they'll see a huge poster that announces the new tv show "Paranormal State". It's everything a publicity campaign organized by the company holosonics, who's done a device able to make the people to listen a voice in a individual way, like if someone talks from inside your head. This technology is called audio spotlight, that creates sound in a narrow beam and aiming the waves till the desired person allows him to be the only one who listens the message. It's the first time that this technology is used for publicity, and of course, there have been already some critics in the US, cuz the messages are an imposition and the subject can't choose to listen or not. From now on, if someones whispers into your ears, and there is no one, calm , it's an advertisement (It's not your imagination)

Altought it can be used in a nice way too!

After Paul Potts ...

After the success of the mobile's salesman opera singer Paul Potts, with more 20M of views, that all of you remember, the truth is that we are in a dry season, I mean ... that ... there are no many phenomenas like this in the net, nevertheless I bring you two that are being quite successful, but nothing compared to Paul Potts ....
The first one called Chocolate Rain is sung by a black lad, who's become very very rich. The second one is as well advisable cuz is quite funny to watch, is a curios song, by a man, already grown up, called Tom Willet. He says wants to do a protest song, but not asking for peace and things like that ... more porno, more masochists and more pop-up windows!! (those small emergent windows so so so annoying)

And finally, again something that only the Japanese can do ... awesome!

The movies...

I have gone to the pictures this week, and has been quite disappointing. The first one was "The Golden Compass" (I know, a bit late!). Maybe I was expecting too much. Daniel Craig barely appears in the movie, the Church is called the Magisterium, I prefer Nikole Kidman acting as a good sweety girl, but I have to say that Sam Elliot makes a brilliant contribution and the special effects are acceptable. It's more like a movie for children when was suppose to be the new lord of the rings trilogy. Let's hope that the second part will be better. The other disappointing movie I have seen is "Aliens vs Predator - Requiem". As always there is no plot and no sense in most of the movie. They need more than half movie to kill the first alien, and then in the end they kill a bunch of them! The only good point was to see children and pregnant women being attacked by the aliens, usually in these sort of movies they never die :)

Three promising coming movies are "Perfect Creature", "The Jumper" and "Cloverfield". The latter one written by Drew Goddard, who also wrote Lost (thumbs up) and Buffy (oh goosh!). The Jumper, by Doug Liman (The Bourne Ultimatum, Mr and Mrs Smith), looks like a watchable movie, but I'm guessing is an american happy ending movie :P And finally another vampires movie, Perfect Creature, still squeezing the orange... sort of vampire bending space-time as Hiro Nakamura.
Here goes a video of Phillip Pullman talking about Religion and Theology. but I think the best is to read his website and his opinion about Religion.

BAck, Back, back ...

Long holidays this Christmas ... lOl ... and plenty promises for this new year. Let's see how the new year treat us!
Amazing things happening so far:
Amazing num.1 : Yesterday, in the the news, emergency landing of the British Airways Boeing 777 in Heathrow airport! And unbelivable was to hear a passenger saying "We thought it was just a bumpy landing". By the way, the plane came from Beijing, my next destination, cross fingers...
Amazing num. 2: To read Hilary Clinton comments about Bill : " I never doubted Bill's love". How someone can be so ignorant? Well, it is a candidate to the US presidency, what did you expect?
Amazing num. 3: Fashion. It keeps surprising me (look a the picture). Many people would say that is art, is cool, new stuff ... sorry, who is gonna dress like a transparent strawberry candy?
